Electrical engineering · consulting · design review

On the owner’s side, from design to commissioning.

DASCONSULT provides technical consulting for substations, protection relaying and automation systems. We review supplier documentation before it is signed, so mistakes are fixed on paper – not in the installation.

Services

Everything that makes a substation work correctly – and safely.

We work for owners, investors and contractors who need an engineer on their side: reviewing documentation, in design and on site.

Owner’s engineer

Review of supplier documentation

We check the supplier’s primary and secondary diagrams, terminal lists and calculations against the contract and specification – before the drawings are signed and go into production.

  • Compliance with the contract and technical annexes
  • Colour-coded mark-ups on the drawings
  • YES/NO compliance checklist for the supplier

Protection relaying and secondary circuits

Protection concepts for substations, transformers and feeders – busbar and transformer differential, overcurrent, breaker failure – and the circuits that make them work.

  • CT core allocation per protection
  • Trip circuits, lockout relays, closing blocks
  • Interlocking between HV and MV

Short-circuit studies and sizing

Calculations to IEC 60909, equipment rating checks against fault currents and current-transformer sizing for protection.

  • All operating modes, including parallel operation
  • Motor contribution and DC component
  • Accuracy limit factor and knee-point voltage
ANRE

Design and design verification

Design of medium- and high-voltage installations, and design verification by ANRE-certified specialists (Romanian energy regulator).

  • Transformer substations and MV switching stations
  • Medium-voltage switchgear and panels
  • Industrial electrical installations

Automation, SCADA and IEC 61850

Substation communication architectures, integration of relays and meters into SCADA, signal lists and addressing.

  • Redundant IEC 61850 networks
  • PLC/SCADA systems for industrial plants
  • Time synchronisation and event recording

Factory tests and commissioning

Technical support at factory acceptance tests (FAT), installation and commissioning – until the last trip has been tested.

  • Test programmes and secondary injection
  • Trip tests from every protection
  • Acceptance of as-built documentation

How we work

Every finding has a reference. Every requirement, a written answer.

A method proven on real projects: the supplier knows exactly what to do, and you decide with full information.

Analysis

We start from the contract, the specification and the documentation received. Every finding points to a sheet, a terminal or a clause.

Mark-ups and completion

The supplier’s drawings are marked up with a clear colour code; whatever is missing we add on new design sheets.

  • delete
  • correct
  • add
  • transport shorts

Supplier checklist

Every change becomes a YES/NO item the supplier confirms in writing – any deviation comes with a justification.

Follow-through to the end

We review the supplier’s next revision and give you our opinion before you sign, then support testing and commissioning.

FAQ

What owners usually ask us.

When is the right moment to contact you?

Ideally before the supplier’s documentation is signed – or even before the specification is written. After signature, every change becomes an extra cost and a delay.

Do you work with foreign suppliers?

Yes. We write the documentation in English or French and handle technical correspondence directly with the supplier and its manufacturers, including outside the European Union.

What does a review deliver?

A complete package: a letter with our opinion and the decisions you need to take, the supplier’s drawings with mark-ups, completion sheets, calculations and a YES/NO checklist the supplier signs.

Can you also take on design or commissioning?

Yes – design, design verification by ANRE-certified specialists, and support at factory tests, installation and commissioning.
